Decal majolica favours

Sicily. Sun, sea, majolica and a wedding. Composed of 3 different layouts, reminiscent of typical Sicilian majolica decorations, this wedding favour set was made on ceramic tiles finished with the Decalco technique.

The original decoration is made with a brush and then printed in several copies with a ceramic toner printer and applied by hand to each individual piece. Once applied and allowed to dry, the piece is returned to the kiln for further firing to allow the decal to blend with the ceramic. The result is elegant and faithful to the original.
